The challenge
Luis Garcia is a private event mixologist known for crafting cocktail experiences at events. He had no visual identity — no logo, no brand system, nothing that captured the elevated, handcrafted quality of his work. He needed business cards that would make an impression and represent him at every event and tasting.
The approach
Rather than designing a generic business card, I started with brand discovery. The key insight came from Luis's personal story: the coupe glass is his favorite cocktail vessel and a symbol of the timeless style he brings to his work. That detail became the foundation for the entire visual identity.
I designed a bespoke coupe glass icon — a subtle, elegant mark that nods to classic mixology while feeling contemporary. A rich, earthy color palette that evokes the warmth, depth, and artisanal quality of his craft. Typography and layout that convey professionalism with personality. Business cards designed to impress whether handed over at a rooftop bar or during a private tasting.
The results
This is a smaller project than a full website engagement, but it shows something important: brand identity work doesn't have to be a massive undertaking. A focused discovery conversation, a single meaningful design insight, and thoughtful execution produced a brand identity that Luis uses with confidence at every event.
